My Approach to Helping
I work from an attachment perspective, providing a safe, warm, connected, nonjudgemental approach to therapy. Together we set objectives for growth and change. I realize some of you seek counseling because you feel stuck in unproductive thoughts, distressing emotions, or behavioral and relational patterns that negatively impact your potential be your best self and thrive. Others of you come because you experience anxiety, or a sense of languishing, boundary and relationship challenges. I also work with couples experiencing communication problems, escalating conflict, or issues that undermine a secure and loving relationship.
I realize and respect that each person or couple has unique needs and interpersonal dynamics. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities, current with the most recent research in neuroscience (EFT, AEDP). I also apply Gottman, CBT, and relationship skills as necessary.
