My Approach to Helping
Counseling Philosophy: One of my roles as a therapist is to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship where the client feels comfortable to share their thoughts and life experiences. Through building a positive therapeutic relationship, I can assist clients in discovering more about themselves and their patterns of behavior. The goal of each session is to teach coping skills, build awareness, encourage self-learning, and inspire independence. I believe in a holistic approach to counseling that includes the whole person: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. I recognize that each client is unique and I vary my therapeutic approach in order to provide successful results.
During my free time, I enjoy time with friends and family, especially my niece and nephew. I love to try new healthy foods as well as stay active through exercise and yoga classes. I also love to travel and experience new things.
