My Approach to Helping
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about the next step in your life? Maybe you're navigating a transition, carrying inherited stories, or yearning for a deeper connection to yourself and others. You may have tried therapy before and left feeling unseen, or maybe you’re just starting out, unsure of what to expect but ready for something real. Wherever you are, I offer a space that meets you with presence, respect, and honest reflection.
As a therapist with a diverse cultural background, I understand the complexity of identity, belonging, and growth. My approach draws on evidence-based modalities such as Gestalt Therapy and Positive Psychology, along with skills shaped by lived experience and study in contemplative and philosophical traditions including Sufism, Islamic psychology, and Tibetan Buddhist thought. I also support clients exploring meaning through spiritual practice, personal inquiry, or psychedelic integration.
Our work together is collaborative and grounded. I do not offer quick fixes, but I bring a steady and compassionate presence, one that helps you see more clearly, build emotional and embodied capacity, and make intentional choices aligned with your values. Therapy with me is not about striving for perfection. It is about showing up honestly, developing tools for living, and moving toward a fuller, more integrated sense of self.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
It is completely normal to feel hesitant about starting therapy. Sharing vulnerable parts of yourself can feel daunting. At the same time, therapy can be a powerful act of care?a chance to live more fully, with greater clarity and connection. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without judgment or pressure. We will move at your pace, focusing on what matters most to you. Therapy is not about being fixed. It is about being met. Whether you want to manage symptoms, process your story, or deepen your self-understanding, this work can support meaningful growth. If you are considering it, trust that something in you already knows the way forward. You do not have to navigate it alone.
Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
Finding the right therapist is a personal and important decision. Beyond credentials or techniques, what matters most is feeling safe, understood, and supported. I encourage you to consider a therapist?s approach, cultural awareness, and how they make space for your lived experience. In my practice, I aim to offer a grounded, nonjudgmental space where your complexity is welcomed. I tailor our work to your pace, your values, and what feels meaningful to you. I offer a free consultation to ensure we are a good match for each other and to give you space to ask questions before beginning. Trust your instincts. You deserve support that feels right.
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
The length and frequency of therapy depend on your goals, needs, and life circumstances. Many clients begin with weekly sessions to build consistency and trust, then shift to bi-weekly or monthly as things evolve. Some find a few months of work meets their needs, while others benefit from longer-term support. We will regularly check in about your progress and adjust as needed. Therapy is not always linear?there may be times when you want more frequent sessions and times when you prefer more space. I am here to help you find a rhythm that feels supportive, sustainable, and aligned with your growth.
