My Approach to Helping
Psychological science has proven that significant portions of our brains and minds are malleable. We are constantly shaped by our life's experiences, and being able to harness that change to your advantage is the mark of a well-adjusted person. My role is to empower you to engage in this process of self-transformation. If you are ready to take the first step, let’s talk.
Prior to my clinical training at Northwestern University, I worked with executive coaches and corporate trainers to help bring better mental fitness and wellness practices into thew workplace. The thousands of hours I have accumulated in psychology-related professions allow me to successfully help you with your goals in therapy.
By speaking candidly with patients, they report gaining insight more quickly and experience symptom relief faster than with therapists with more indirect styles. I soften my directness with my humor, as I believe laughter can be just as cathartic and healing as crying. By combining directness with my compassion and empathy, I have seen wonderful results.
