My Approach to Helping
My experience settings include mental health clinics, schools, home-based therapy, child welfare, private practice, and healthcare start-ups. My intention is to provide a compassionate, warm, curious, non-judgmental space where you feel understood and safe. I typically have an active and collaborative approach in session - I’ll provide insight, gentle feedback, and reframing. However, I’m also here to just hold space for you in whatever way you need. You’re unique, and I want to get to know you holistically – your history, your present, and how you view yourself and the systems around you. You’ll experience an eclectic approach of evidence-based treatments. I provide psychoeducation with you along the way. I may use a mix of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, exposure therapy, and solution-focused therapy while drawing from systems theories, attachment theories, psychodynamic theories, and mindfulness principles.
