Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit more about me. My approach to therapy is strengths-based and my graduate school training was primarily psychodynamic with a concentration in mental health. I believe you know yourself best and I am here to guide you and provide a safe, non-judgmental place to draw on your strengths in order to accomplish your goals.

My undergraduate degree was in Human Services from Western Washington University. After working with teenagers for a few years I enrolled in graduate school at Loyola University Chicago where I obtained my Masters of Social Work. My experience has been working with individuals who are coping with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and trauma. I also have a decade of experience serving those who are or have been homeless, including Veterans.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Going to therapy does not mean you are weak or flawed. In fact, I believe it means you are strong. Seeking help can be difficult and it means you've realized that there are things you need to talk over and get some guidance on. It's my role to assist you on that journey and to provide feedback and suggestions on how to cope and help you learn new skills (or brush off old ones) to help you move forward.
