My preferred initial communication is email. My approach to the therapeutic relationship is collaborative. The client is the expert of themselves and my role is to provide the knowledge and skills I have attained to support the clients needs. My clinical interests include treating trauma, neuroaffirming as well as providing LGBTQIA+ affirmative psychotherapy to sexual minorities. If you're struggling with anxiety, depression or past experiences are negatively affecting you, feel free to reach out to see if we are a good fit to work together.
I am trained in EMDR and Attachment-Focused-EMDR disciplines in treating trauma-related issues by assisting individuals to overcome distress, trauma, anxiety, or PTSD symptoms. I'm also trained in Biofeedback, Ego StateDissociation (Parts Work), the Flash Technique, and Intergenerational Trauma to help clients discover relief.
In my practice, I celebrate neruodiversity and provide neuroaffirming care. I do not pathologize brains that present within the neurodiverse umbrella (ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, ect.). My goal is to provide a safe space for folks to explore and work on their concerns and not feel othered. We all deserve to be seen.
My Practice & Services
During the first few sessions, we will touch upon your history while providing direct relief to your nervous system by providing resources. After the first few sessions, we collaboratively identify which experiences to work on to provide additional relief. Most clients see a lifting of their symptoms within a few weeks while and greater release in the months following.
Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
Many people have had negative therapy experiences. I am among that population as well. Usually, in the first 3 to 5 sessions, people can figure out if they are a good fit to work together. I implore my clients to discuss their needs and voice their concerns with the work we do together. Your voice and needs matter and I will do everything I can to help instill that in you.
