My Approach to Helping
Let’s prioritize your wants, needs, and desires. Therapy is a space where you get to receive the attention you may have not been gifting yourself. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, battling depression or self-esteem-related issues, LGBTQPIA+ challenges, or any other stressors life creates, I am certain we can collaboratively work together towards a living that is self-serving and on your terms. My approach to therapy is led with compassion, empathy, and conducive self-exploration, which will then give you the opportunity to explore the full range of your experience, which includes feelings, beliefs, behaviors, and your own unique worldview. By being congruent, accepting, and empathic, clients can look forward to a positive change.
My diverse and integrative method of therapy will address the individual and unique challenges that brought you here in the first place. This means, I pull from a variety of evidence-based practices such as, but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), reality therapy, structural family therapy (SFT), motivational interviewing, and more. Furthermore, I am exceptionally skilled in a person-centered approach to therapy, where I aim for clients to achieve a greater degree of independence, integration and self-actualization.
It is my hope when working together, we not only give attention to your challenges but also prioritize your growth process. As a result, you can better cope with arising problems as they surface. Our work together will focus on your openness, trusting yourself, internal evaluations, and a willingness to continue growing as the unique human being that you are.
