My Approach to Helping
I am a psychotherapist who specializes in offering therapy to adolescents, adults, families, and couples with an array of mental health issues. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, co-occurring disorders, marital/family conflicts and numerous other relationship concerns. I offer services that encourage improved personal health and happiness and rewarding relationships. I believe that as individuals become increasingly accepting of how they are, and gain awareness of their actions, emotions, and thoughts, they are more adept at making decisions that lead to fulfillment and happiness I utilize a broad array of therapeutic models and clinical interventions to help clients progress toward change, including emotionally- focused, experiential, narrative, solution-focused, rational-emotive behavioral, dialectical- behavioral and cognitive-behavioral models and therapies. I encourage mindfulness techniques and awareness practices to connect people to their moment-by-moment experience causing an appreciation of their present reality. I have advanced training in the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. I am trained in EMDR.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Addiction Professional, Board Certified- TeleMental Health Provider and National Certified Counselor. I am a Qualified Clinical Supervisor for mental health counseling and marriage and family therapy interns. I have ample experience working with diverse communities. I am on the following insurance panels: Humana, Tricare and Value Options. Many of my clients are private pay and my rate is $115 per hour. I will no longer be accepting insurance effective January 1, 2019.
