My Approach to Helping
Hello, I'm Dr. Laura and I am so glad we have connected! I am a licensed clinical psychologist and own Compass Psychological Services, LLC. I offer telehealth & in-person therapy for individuals, couples, and families. As a therapist, I focus on treating adult professionals, parents, and college students to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship conflict.
It is my goal to create a safe and dynamic space for you to work on processing and resolving what has brought you to therapy. I specialize in the following areas: trauma, personality & mood disorders, and couplesfamily concerns. I also offer testing services related to IQ, personality, achievement, and mood. I hold certifications in Gottman Level 1 (couples) and PEERS for young adults (ASD).
Therapy can feel intimidating or uncomfortable when you start. Building a trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationship is my primary goal as your psychologist. At your pace, we work on setting realistic, attainable, and focused goals that will meet your needs. Processing and skill-building work in tandem to ensure that in every session you feel closer to becoming the best version of yourself: stronger, more insightful, and more confident.
