My Approach to Helping
Karen is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Board approved supervisor in the state of Florida. She has 11 years’ experience helping individuals three years and older adversely affected by abuse, neglect, and trauma. She has helped people with depression, anxiety, anger issues, life transitions, couple’s issues, and addictive/compulsive behaviors. Karen is certified in Integrative Medicine for Mental Health to help clients improve their mental health holistically. She completed her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida and her Master of Science in mental health counseling from Capella University. Karen’s collaborative approach focuses on helping people engage their strengths as resources and realize their goals through skills building. Through trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness based, and somatic based approaches such as eye movement therapy. Karen designs therapy to best meet the unique needs of every individual and couple. Karen’s priority is to provide you with a warm and safe relationship free of judgment to help you identify your needs and to assist you with developing and building on your strengths. Therapy is a process and by collaborating with me, you will be supported as you seek to meet your goals and enjoy the life you value and desire.
