My Approach to Helping
Treatment Approach: I have a person-centered approach and tailor my technique based on the individual’s needs. I believe in meeting individuals where they are to reach their goals. The treatment modalities I utilize include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Solution-focused interventions among others. In my work with children and adolescents, I have found that through play therapy activities, they are able to express themselves in ways they may not be able to verbally. I believe the relationships built in therapy can truly evoke change and self-awareness.
More about me: I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, exercising, reading and watching my favorite TV shows. One of my goals is to travel more and experience different cultures.

EducationExperience: I received my Bachelor\'s degree in Psychology from Georgia State University. After my experience with children with autism in the classroom setting, I realized I wanted to expand my knowledge on how to support individuals in a therapeutic setting. This experience led me to receive my Masters in School Counseling from Mercer University. During my internship in graduate school, I gained experience in an elementary, middle and high school setting. I have experience with children and adolescents in outpatient and residential settings facilitating individuals, groups, and family sessions.
