Each individual is unique based on a myriad of influences, including culture, family dynamics, physical environment, physical appearance, belief system, how they perceive themselves and others, and so much more. I utilize an integrative approach in therapy: based on my observations and the individual's responses, I can blend various therapies to match my clients' ability to achieve goals which can create change in areas of their lives that are currently unproductive and causing distress.
I believe my role as a therapist is to be a good listener, provide support, and to help the individual see themselves in a different manner as they look at the possibilities and opportunities in their life they hadn't recognized before. In short, I am a walking stick and map that supports them and helps them decide what trail they wish to walk.

More Info About My Practice
Among other therapies, I use the Grief Recovery Method in my practice and have found that in many instances, unresolved grief plays a huge role in peoples' lives, and frequently is the root cause of the issues they face.
My mission is to help all kinds of people to attain an improved quality of life and achieve their dreams from long ago.
My private practice is located in the Boise Summit building, directly across from McKee hospital.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Besides being a Grief Recovery Specialist, one area of psychotherapy that is significant to me is self perception. I believe loss can create feelings of lack of confidence and poor self perception, even hate for oneself, limiting our choices in life and affecting us for many years. Unresolved grief can be the roadblock to fulfilling dreams and living life on our terms.
If you are ready to make a change and ignite those dreams that you have forgotten, call me now at 970-818-1919 for a free 15 minute phone consultation. This may be the moment to find your way back to who you really are.

Ages I Work With
Groups I Work With
Primarily adults ages 18 and up who are having difficulty in their day-to-day living with poor self-perception, low self esteem, sadness, depression and anxiety. I am a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist trained through the Grief Recovery Institute and in my counseling experience have linked grief and loss to fear of living life to negative self talk and pessimistic thinking about oneself and one's abilities. I see it as circular thinking that keeps a person in a prison and stuck in an unsatisfying and empty rut.
I am an integrative therapist. I use several different therapy modalities so that I can utilize what works best for you as your clinician. I use Humanistic and Person-Centered Therapy, ACT, Mindfulness Approach Therapies, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. I will be completing my EMDR training in March.
