I hope to provide each client a warm, compassionate, and safe space for you to share your story and feel heard. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, including your health, emotions, relationships, and body. I tailor my work with you to your individual needs and goals. I understand that taking the steps to begin therapy can be scary, and I hope to make you feel at home in the therapy space. My specialty areas include EMDR, somatic experiencing/mind-body work and mindfulness-based stress reduction. I am passionate about helping people to work on family/life adjustments, trauma, anxiety, attachment/relational concerns, and depression. I provide individual therapy for adults who need trauma work or who are experiencing anxiety (including panic, phobias, and agoraphobia), self-esteem concerns, and depression. I am trained in EMDR to specifically work on traumatic events (both "big" and "small") and have specialized training to be able to adapt it throughout the lifespan (including young children). I also provide experiential play therapy for children 2-8 years old. Additionally, I am trained in Prepare/Enrich assessments for couples. I work with adults and children 12 and under.

More Info About My Practice

*Please provide my name to the intake scheduler when calling for an appointment, as there are multiple therapists at my location.* Also make sure to leave a message for myself or the intake staff and someone will call you back as soon as possible.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

The number one important thing about making therapy successful is finding a therapist that you feel comfortable with and a therapist that you can connect with. People who have found the right therapist have an overall sense that the therapist is a good "fit" for them. I provide a non judgmental, safe space for clients to share their story. I want all of my clients to feel comfortable to be themselves in the therapy space.

Theoretical Influences that Guide My Work

I adjust my clinical work based on the individual needs of the client. There is no one size fits all style of therapy. I utilize a mix of relationship based therapy strategies and theoretical frameworks including attachment theory, mindfulness based stress reduction, meditation, play therapy (for young children), EMDR for trauma, cognitive behavioral, somatic experience, and developmental repair.
