My Approach to Helping
Amanda Nusbaum is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who attempts to incorporate hope and a little bit of laughter into every session! She has provided mental health services across multiple settings (in-home, residential, and outpatient) since earning her master’s degree in counseling in 2017. As a mental health counselor, she feels passionate about meeting each individual where they are at and supporting them on their journey for betterment. Her therapeutic style draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. This means that sessions focus on thoughts and behaviors getting in the way of someone’s ability to maximize their potential and learning skills and mindfulness techniques to improve one’s quality of life. When she is not working, you can find her taking walks around the lake, watching sports, and traveling the country.
