My Approach to Helping
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with advanced training and cerification in marital and family therapy.
My understanding of human problems stems from the perspective that no man is an island. When one of us is struggling with an issue, the ones closest to us are most probably affected and struggling in their own way too. My practice is based on the belief that my clients' needs are of the upmost importance. I am committed to helping you find the best way to meet those needs. I believe that therapy is an open, revolving door. It should start where you are at. My approach is short-term and solution-focused. Come when you are hurting -- leave when you feel better. If you start to hurt again -- you are always welcome back!

Additionally, I hold certification as a Life Transitions Celebrant, and am pleased to offer Loving Heart Ceremonies, upon request. These are personal ceremonies to mark and provide some closure for life's more difficult rites of passage: e.g. divorce, return from war, loss of a loved one.
I accept most insurance plans, and I am a preferred provider for many.
