My Approach to Helping
I am passionate about helping people to progress on their life journey toward well-being. I believe most of our distress and conflicts stem from a maladaptive understanding of self and our perceived needs, of others, the world, and of God. Accordingly, a step toward health begins with increasing self-awareness and insight into ourselves, our problems, and the ability to see the reality in growing clarity which results in changed thoughts, feelings, and actions. In therapy, I will use a variety of modalities to achieve this end for my clients, including faith and spirituality which are an integral part of many people’s lives.
My approach is toward helping people to find meaning for and mature through their experiences, especially the painful ones, and along the way find what they have been searching for all along.
