What's My Approach to Therapy?
At various stages in our lives, we may face new situations, traumas, or feelings of sadness, anxiety, or stress. It is during these times that it can be beneficial to take a step towards helping ourselves, and by being here, you are doing just that.
I have an Internal Family Systems approach, however, I will use all evidence-based practices best suited for my clients. Some common examples are cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, or psycho dynamic therapy
I very much feel therapy is about my client's journey, and I like to help assist their healing in the most prudent fashion. I have a very direct, but empathetic and compassionate approach. I enjoy working with teens, adults, couples, and families who are working through life changes, grief, stress, anxiety, depression, or trauma.
My Practice & Services
I know that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, and I want you to know that I'm here to make that process as comfortable as possible. Whether you're struggling with something specific or just feeling stuck and unsure where to start, my goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely heard and supported.
I work with teens, young adults, and adults who are navigating all kinds of challenges—maybe you're dealing with anxiety or depression, going through a difficult life transition, struggling in your relationships, or just trying to figure out who you are and what you want. I especially enjoy working with adolescents and their families because I believe that understanding the bigger picture of how families work together can make such a difference in healing and growth.
My approach is practical and collaborative. I'm not here to tell you what to do or analyze you from a distance. Instead, we'll work together to understand what's not working, challenge the thoughts and patterns that keep you stuck, and build real skills you can use in your daily life. I focus on what actually helps—giving you tools to manage difficult emotions, improve your relationships, and feel more confident moving forward.
If you've experienced trauma, I have specialized training to help you process those experiences safely and at your own pace. And if you're a parent feeling overwhelmed or a couple struggling to connect, I can help you understand the patterns that aren't serving you and create healthier ways of relating.
Most importantly, I believe therapy should feel like a partnership. You're the expert on your own life, and I'm here to walk alongside you, offer new perspectives, and support you in making the changes that matter to you. I'd be honored to be part of your journey.
