My Approach to Helping
When people come to see me in my practice, they are often struggling with disconnection from themselves, their bodies, or from others in the world. If you are struggling with this kind of disconnection, you might notice tension in your body, vivid dreams, trouble sleeping, struggling with food and eating, self-harming behaviors, or spiritual wandering. You might feel cut off from a wide range of emotions or the deep juicy experience of life or you might feel completely flooded and overwhelmed by all the emotions. This is a time to reach out.
I use my own practice of breathworkmeditation and yoga to inform our work together along with my clinical training in depth psychotherapy which emphasizes reclaiming the parts of you that have been lost long the way. I am passionate about coming alongside you on your journey and looking together with curiosity and compassion at your life, where you are, and where you want to be.
My own journey of healing from wounds brought me to this work, fuels my passion and compassion, and is supported by strong education and clinical training. I believe that therapy is a sacred space for healing, a deeper exploration of oneself, and integration of the parts that have been cut off or forgotten.
Together, we will look beyond the symptoms to the core of who you are, with all of your uniqueness, and seek out a meaningful and connected life of wholeness.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
If you are struggling with shame, guilt, anxiety, or a judgmental inner critic, my goal is to come alongside you and work together, as a team, to help you develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
I have extensive experience treating body image, eating and food problems and work with local dietitians and doctors to provide a comprehensive care plan for you.
My areas of research have also included mindfulness, subtle body, yoga psychotherapy, and breath work. I would love to work with people interested in exploring these aspects of their psychological and spiritual development.
My View on the Nature of 'Disorders'
Often times we seek out psychotherapy when we have a problem or struggle. It might even be for something that is considered a "disorder"; however no matter what label something has, my commitment is to both assess and understand the symptom, but also to move beyond it, to go deeper to the suffering that is causing the symptom.
The symptoms are there as a guide, to remind us that there is something that needs tending or care in our inner world. These symptoms might even be showing up in our bodies, reminding us that we are whole beings and our mind, body, and soul are interconnected.
If you are struggling with a symptom, but are interested in making the deeper connections and tending to the suffering parts of your soul, please reach out. I would love to talk to you.
