My Approach to Helping
Since your relationship with your therapist is key, I work to establish a warm and compassionate environment that fosters the growth of our therapeutic relationship. By creating this safe space, you and I can work together to identify your unique needs and goals. Through collaboration, we can develop your insights and skills, formulate personalized strategies, and build a foundation of self-awareness -- all to enable you to better manage the challenges of your daily life.
More Info About My Practice
My approach reflects the diverse needs of those I see. Accordingly, I draw from my experience working with diverse populations across the ages. I have helped people deal with both the psychological and medical dimensions presented throughout the lifespan. I have found several treatment methods helpful in fostering mindfulness and insight, including Dialectical Behavior Theory (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also find that art therapy is effective for generating insights.
My Role as a Therapist
To meet the varying needs of those seeking my help, my approach is collaborative and holistic. Whatever challenges you confront, I am pleased to have the opportunity to help guide your self-exploration and the accomplishment of your goals.
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
How often should I come in? How long does therapy last? These are great questions! While there is no standard answer, you and I can determine a frequency of our meetings and a duration of treatment that meets your needs, accomplishes your goals, and moves you towards a place where you feel better able to manage the issues and challenges of your daily life.
