Mental Health in Highland Park

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office has been working hard to counteract the opioid epidemic affecting the region. In 2014, the Sheriff’s Office partnered with the county’s Health Department to train its law enforcement officers in the use of Narcan, an opioid antidote. In 2017, 100 lives were saved through the administration of Narcan.
