My Approach to Helping
Are you struggling with your relationship with a partner, family member or even yourself? I have experience in helping my clients to overcome personal obstacles to improve their own lives and their relationships. Through the use of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), I help clients learn crucial skills such as interpersonal effectiveness, mindfulness, and distress tolerance. Using Emotion-Focused Therapy, I help my clients to explore ways they can better understand themselves and those they care about. If you're ready to take the next step in your relationship, your family, or your life in general, give me a call.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Therapy can feel like a heavy decision - maybe even something you don't want to share with those you care about. I value my clients' feelings of safety and comfort above all else, and so I strive to build a good relationship with my clients and move at a pace that feels supportive. It is important for you to feel as though you can be open with your therapist - be honest with yourself after the first session. There is no pressure to sign up for another session if you don't want to. Reaching out can take a lot of courage, but it can be highly rewarding and lead to real and awesome progress for yourself and those you love.
