My Approach to Helping
Are you overwhelmed by the impact of a cancer diagnosis, an acute medical condition, or chronic pain? Are you a family member or caregiver that is struggling with managing their own emotions while taking care of their loved ones? The feelings associated with a physical illness are often overlooked due to the medical care needed. As your therapist, I am passionate about supporting you through your journey of healing. It is my role to create a warm and safe environment for you to be comfortable sharing any thoughts and feelings that are hindering you from living your life to the fullest.
My approach to therapy is based on your individual needs. We will work together to develop a treatment plan that targets the goals that you want to accomplish while in therapy. The methods that I primarily use are EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, and Expressive Therapy.
I understand how difficult the first step to recovery can be. The thought of being vulnerable with a complete stranger can be terrifying. It can also be freeing. I welcome you to reach out and give yourself the opportunity to express what might be holding you back. You deserve it.
