My Approach to Helping
Kamillah Gray is a Resident in Counseling in the state of Virginia who has more than 4 years of experience working with adolescents and young adults who are seeking help in coping with depression, anxiety, life transitions, and LGBTQIA+ issues. She completed her bachelor's degree in psychology from Christopher Newport University and received her master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Kamillah works from a person-centered foundation while utilizing cognitive behavioral (CBT), dialectical behavioral (DBT), solutions-focused (SFT), and mindfulness techniques to meet the needs of each client. Kamillah believes that the relationship with the client is the most important part of the process. She'll work to build a genuine, empathetic, and warm connection with you in order to help you build on your current strengths and guide you toward your goals.
