My Approach to Helping

Have you wondered if therapy can be helpful to you? I offer a complimentary phone consultation to discuss any questions you may have. You can talk to me about anything; nothing you tell me will shock or surprise me. I can help you work through your difficulties and feel better in the process, and also help you become your own therapist by learning how to better deal with the challenges that come up in your life. I treat adults and children struggling with anxiety, ADHD, anger issues, panic attacks, parenting issues, relationship issues, and body image and eating issues. Therapy can be short-term or long-term, depending on the reason for coming to therapy. Therapy can address a very specific problem or it can address long standing issue or a client's desire for personal and professional development. This is something we can address together in our initial meetings. You can learn more about my practice on my website drjudithzackson.com or calling my office at 203-900-1666.

I am a licensed doctoral clinical psychologist with 20 years of experience, a Graduate Degree from Columbia University and PHD from the Graduate Center City University of New York. I've worked in a variety of settings including Columbia University Medical Center, New York University and Kings County Hospital.

For many, making the decision to see a therapist is difficult. My goal is to make this process as comfortable as I can. My practice is modeled in the style of an 'old-time' family practitioner. hen you call, you will speak with me personally. Starting with our first conversation, I will get to know you and begin to understand how I can help you achieve your goals. I will ultimately help you to become your own therapist by learning how to better deal with the challenges that come up in your life.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

The process of psychotherapy is different for each individual. But a commonality is that the The therapeutic process is a journey toward improved quality of life. In my view, it is also a process of self-discovery: of ones potentials, strengths, and innate ability to heal. Whatever you and I may do session-to-session, our ultimate goal is to foster growth and change, leading to you feeling more comfortable with yourself and fulfilled in your life.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

Being able to connect with another human being during a time of need and watch them achieve their goals has been incredibly rewarding. This practice is my life's passion, it's an honor to be able to connect and work with people in Greenwich and its surrounding communities.
