My Approach to Helping
Finding a therapist can be quite overwhelming. It is a courageous step to allow another person in and build a safe relationship in order to facilitate change. I provide a nonjudgemental supportive environment where we can work together to decrease feelings of depression, anxiety, confusion, and other uncomfortable states we often find ourselves in. I will empower and challenge you to increase self-awareness, develop insight, and learn healthy ways to cope with life\'s challenges. I am an active participant in the therapy process and help my patients expand perspective to reach their full potential.
My specialities include: adults navigating major life transitions (relocation to a new city, new profession, new relationship, new mother), anxiety disorders, perfectionism, relationship issues, depression, adult children caringsupporting an ill parentrelative (physical or mental illness), and working with physicians, nurses, and other medical providers.
Through self-exploration we can implement positive, healthy changes which are necessary to facilitate healing and growth. I welcome and encourage a phone consultation so that I can answer any questions you may have, you can get a better sense of who I am, and I can learn your goals of treatment to see if I may be a good fit.
