My Approach to Helping

I help women and men learn about, manage, recover from, and terminate toxic relationships with partners, friends, bosses, co-workers, parents, and family. I address collateral damage from toxic relationships including depression, anxiety, and posttraumatic stress disorder. I also focus on toxic communication patterns in otherwise healthy relationships, helping people understand their relationships and their role in its current condition. My work emphasizes boundaries, mitigating codependency, and personal responsibility. My experience includes working with abusive narcissists, borderline patients, histrionic personalities, and sociopaths. I am to-the-point yet empathetic, more direct than the traditional therapist, and include styles similar to teaching, coaching, and mentorship.

More Info About My Practice

My office is centrally located in the West Town neighborhood of Chicago surrounded by plenty of parking, and located near the Blue Line, Milwaukee/Division stop. Although I don't take insurance directly, I will work with you to get session fees reimbursed through your Out of Network benefits and Health Savings Account.
