My Approach to Helping
The decision to try therapy isn’t always easy. You may be concerned about discussing your most private feelings and thoughts, including guilt, shame, and fear. I offer a comfortable, safe space to reflect upon and discover yourself. I think life is too short to live in the past or be ruled by fear of the future. I walk alongside you, helping you emotionally and mentally live in the present. I practice what I preach, so I practice these skills with you to motivate you to care for yourself and become the best version of the person you hope to be. I primarily use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques, relying also on mindfulness to counter negative thoughts and connect the body and mind in healthy ways.
