What's My Approach to Therapy?
I have specific expertise working with couples as well as individuals navigating difficult relationships. I particularly enjoy working with high-achieving professionals, over-thinkers, new moms and dads, and cycle-breakers. I am an active therapist, meaning that I will ask questions and point out patterns to help you get to the root of what really brought you into therapy. I am a warm but direct straight shooter who values transparency and I use humor, intuition, and spontaneity in my work. My aim is not to tell you what to do, but rather to help you listen to your own inner wisdom.
My Role as a Therapist
I'm not a passive therapist and I'm not here to just nod and ask, "How does that make you feel?" While I create a safe and respectful space for you to explore your experiences, I'm also a straight shooter. That means I'll be honest with you, offer direct feedback, and challenge you when it's in service of your growth. I believe real change happens when we look at things clearly, even when it's uncomfortable. If you're looking for a therapist who will actively engage with you, ask tough questions, and help you cut through the noise, I might be a good fit.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
I completely understand and I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation so that you can ask me questions, share any apprehensions you may have and see if we would be a good fit.
