My Approach to Helping
I rely on a person-centered framework, and embrace the natural resilience of my clients. Sometimes life's struggles necessitate the assistance of a supportive relationship that can help us explore the feelings, thoughts, and behaviors that overwhelm or no longer serve us. Counseling offers great opportunities for growth, decreasing suffering, and reducing anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma.
People often seek counseling when they face deep suffering and intense vulnerability. I hope to act as a gentle challenger to help clients navigate challenging times. I am especially interested in working with clients who have struggled with trauma, depression, and anxiety.
Although I have experience working with people experiencing a variety of concerns, I often see young adults navigating life transitions and adults addressing childhood trauma that affects current relationships.
I embrace clients from the LGBTQ community.
