My Approach to Helping

Have you wondered if Dialectical Behavioral Therapy can be helpful to you? I offer a phone consultation to answer any questions you may have and will be by your side to navigate the process during these challenging times. I have extensive experience working with adolescents and adults to more effectively regulate emotions, reduce problematic behavior and enhance problem-solving skills. I provide a time-limited, goal directed, and structured treatment to help clients work through their challenges and learn to become their own therapist. Clients often see a reduction of symptoms early on in treatment.

I am a Licensed Clinician with two decades of experience. I worked in a variety of settings including Silver Hill Hospital where I implemented Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Programs and Clinician training. My expertise with evidence based treatments with individuals, families, and groups gives me a deeper understanding of each client.

I utilize a biopsychosocial model in my practice. I consider the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence the client’s body and mind. My evidenced-based behavioral approaches, including mindfulness, provide the highest quality of care and positive outcomes.

More Info About My Practice

If you have out-of-network benefits, our billing team will be happy to help determine how these can be applied. We submit claims on your behalf and request that the insurance company send the funds directly to the office, so you will not have to wait for reimbursement. I work with Aetna, Cigna, United, Blue Cross, GHI, and others. You can verify your benefits by calling our office at 203-900-1666 or email frontdesk@drzackson.com.

For many, making the decision to see a therapist is difficult. My goal is to make this process as comfortable as I can. My practice is modeled in the style of an 'old-time' family practitioner. hen you call, you will speak with me personally. Starting with our first conversation, I will get to know you and begin to understand how I can help you achieve your goals. I will ultimately help you to become your own therapist by learning how to better deal with the challenges that come up in your life.
