My Approach to Helping

Hello! Are you struggling with ANXIETY, burnout, anger, or overwhelm? Perhaps it's sadness, guilt, SHAME or feeling NUMB that's troubling you? Worrying or in your head too much? Lacking confidence or striving for perfection? Difficulty experiencing joy? Stuck in a hole and having difficulty climbing out? These are issues I have helped my clients with over the years while providing a respectful and non-judgmental space. My therapy sessions are conducted on a privacy-compliant video platform with clients anywhere in Ontario. "It's not too late at all. You just don't yet know what you are capable of." - Ghandi

In particular, I am experienced in helping adults with stress, anxiety, depression or emotional regulation difficulties to develop and strengthen skills of to better handle difficult emotions, thoughts, urges and memories. Some skills I work on are learning to tolerate uncertainty, acceptance in place of avoidance, and self-compassion in place of critical self-talk. Collaboratively we will explore what is keeping you stuck and build your capacity to live a life of greater ease, wellness, purpose and authenticity.

You've been working hard to manage this far on your own; however, sharing your story with a trained therapist can provide an opportunity for growth. If feeling uneasy to start, this is normal. We can begin with a phone call or email to discuss the therapy process and how I can help before you commit. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Diana

More Info About My Practice

I conduct therapy sessions on a privacy-compliant video platform with clients anywhere in Ontario. We work together as a team to help you build a better life.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

At the start of our work together I believe it's beneficial for us to meet more regularly - usually once every 1-2 weeks. Session are 50 minutes. As you develop and strengthen skills, the time between sessions will increase so you have more time to practice them outside of our sessions. How many sessions of therapy you will need before you start to see a change depends on how long you have been struggling with your issues, whether or not you have engaged in therapy previously, and whether there are other factors like a history of trauma or abuse. One thing that is guaranteed is that maintaining our mental well-being is a life long journey that really never has an end point, it just becomes more manageable as we get better at it.
