My Approach to Helping
Struggling with anxiety or depression and looking for help? Old wounds surfacing from the past and affecting your current relationships? Experiencing PTSD symptoms due to trauma and needing some real support? From a psychodynamic, holistic perspective, I offer a warm space to help you identify the parts of yourself that want to be seen and healed so you can find more long-term relief. Providing personalized tools and exercises for you to feel well-resourced both inside and outside of the session, we can work together to create a treatment program that works best for you as an individual.
I believe in order to cultivate one's true nature, we must first be provided with a warm, safe container to share our truths in. In co-creating a relationship of alliance and trust, we are able to have a fuller, integrative healing experience. I encourage clients to continuously tune in to what is working in their favor and what is not, voicing that aloud in the room. In that, I am able to further tune into what is needed for you in approaching your issues and supportively help you find the areas desiring more attention, all from a place of compassion and understanding.
Working from an integral approach - I look at the whole experience that has lead you to your current state. I work analytically, somatically, relationally, and mindfully. Experiential techniques like hakomi immersion and embodiment alongside meditation exercises allow for deeper integration of material and relief from uncomfortable symptoms that often come with suffering. I believe we all carry unique medicine within us to come to an acceptance of our authentic selves, our true nature. My goal is to help you find and come to a place of fully receiving yours. Looking forward to working with you!
