My approach to therapy is eclectic and combines a humanistic, strengths-based and holistic approach. I work with individuals using a non-judgmental, empathic approach; supporting them as they confront their issues and helping them realize their unique strengths. I strive to help people feel equally respected and nurtured during therapy and to provide space for an open and honest dialogue.
I specialize in using art therapy, which can provide another outlet for people to communicate their thoughts and emotions, and learn ways to cope with their challenges. Art therapy can be especially beneficial for children, as it gives them another way to express themselves and promotes continued exploration of their issues. My eclectic approach often combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness techniques and Solution-Focused Therapy; I always cater the treatment to you, based on your unique needs and concerns.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

My own struggles and life experiences have helped shape me, and continue to motivate me to do this work. I have learned that our greatest challenges can motivate and transform us, helping us become stronger. Confronting these challenges and believing that things will change for the better can be difficult; it can be a long journey and I believe therapy can support us in confronting these challenges. Therapy can help to relieve the isolation and stress that can come with dealing with hardship and help us begin to make the sometimes difficult but needed changes in our lives.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

I understand the stigma that often comes with seeking help and will work with you through this. Seeking help and being in therapy does not mean we are weak or damaged. Each one of us experiences struggles and challenges throughout our lives, and in these times, we need extra support. We are all much more than our problems. I aspire to help you to gain insight and recognize your strengths and potential.
