My central goal in therapy sessions is to help clients hone their insights about themselves. From there, I help them develop tools that can help them surmount obstacles and live a fulfilling life.

I believe early experiences shape us all, including the quality of our early attachments and the extent to which we experienced love and support in our childhood relationships. But this is just one thread in the tapestry of life experiences. I explore the past only insofar as doing so helps clients understand themselves and their current experiences.

Other modalities which I use with clients include: relational approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, emotionally focused therapy, solution focused therapy.

I treat women, men, and teens of all ages. I think therapy can be valuable at every stage of life. The problems of the past can re-emerge. The challenges of the present can cause new problems to manifest. Therapy is the most important work we can do to live fulfilling lives.

More Info About My Practice

As well as weekdays, I offer weekend and evening hours. I also offer therapy by Skype for clients with physical or time limitations as well as home or office visits. I accept all PPO insurance plans as an out of network provider. My fee is $140 per hour. A sliding scale is available.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

I work with individuals and I also specialize in couples therapy. I treat a range of issues including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, communication problems, infidelity, divorce, adoption, professional transition, abuse, grief and loss.

Theoretically speaking, I am eclectic, drawing on different approaches according to the needs of a particular client. Everyone is unique and each client has their own receptivity to different approaches. My job is to be flexible and receptive, to find a way into the work that most resonates with my client.
