My Approach to Helping

I work with clients to help them identify a solid life path, to help fortify them from pitfalls, and focus them on long term future happiness. Self discovery is critical before finding a partner.

Partnering skills are essential to building a loving long term relationship. Working within your partnership to push towards mutual goals and also maintain your individual goals takes work and support, and the results can be life changing. By spending our energy on building our own future rather than on a cycle of unfulfilling relationships that keep us stuck, we move forward.

By examining core values and your hopes and dreams we can create a long term life path that you can use every day to decide where to put your vital attention and energy. Learning to acquire a growth mindset, and learning how to prioritize which choices to make, are important skills that can help a young person live smarter not harder.

My Role as a Therapist

I create space for you. Not just the space in my sunny office for you to come and relax with a cup of tea for an hour a week, but the mental space that I create for just you. I give you my undivided attention as I actively listen to you brief me on what's going on. This "space" for you is an excellent way to process interactions and happenings from your week and to discern whether actions are needed or if the issue can be let go. This ongoing mental exercise can help a person stay present and keep feelings from building up. Making your own mental health a priority, is an excellent way to feel more agreeable about life and keep you from burdening your friends.
