My Approach to Helping
We are all trying to be the best version of ourselves, and sometimes we need help learning who that person is. I believe that the purpose of therapy is to help you identify challenges that are preventing you from becoming the person you want to be and living a happy, healthy life. Through the development of a collaborative therapeutic relationship, I can support you in identifying your strengths to empower you to overcome the challenges that are affecting your happiness and growth.
I am passionate about working with people who are struggling with depression, trauma, anxiety, relationship satisfaction, career changes, body image, cultural identity, gender expression, kink, and mental health needs specific to Black and LGBTQ+ people.I utilize aspects of motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed care, and cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients get the support they deserve.
