My Approach to Helping
I decided early in my life I wanted to help people through therapy. After receiving my BS in General Psychology I was determined to work in the mental health field. I went to school part-time, working on my Master's of Science in General Marriage and Family Therapy, while working in various positions at eating disorder and addiction treatment centers over the course of five years. I gained my clinical trainee hours in a school-based setting.
I am extremely passionate about my work and helping others. Most of my experience is with adolescents and young adults who are dealing with anxiety, grief, or depression. I work from a cognitive behavioral base, while implementing mindfulness techniques.
