I would love to hear about your experiences, goals, and what matters to you in your life. I will work with you to determine the direction of our counseling sessions and use a variety of approaches and place most importance on building trust and comfort in our relationship. For children and teens, I do use games and art. If desired, I am willing to walk with you around the property when the weather is nice. I offer afternoon/evening appointments and if mutually determined to be appropriate/necessary, can offer home visits. My office setting provides easy referrals to nutrition, massage therapy, and fitness classes/personal training. It is on the 1st floor/outer edge of the 100 building in the Cummings Center, so it is easy to find!

My View on the Nature of 'Disorders'

Diagnoses are a descriptor for a certain set of behaviors or feelings, which may, and often do, change over time. While I do need to utilize a diagnosis code for insurance reimbursement, I don't put much stock in "mental disorders." I do not think of the people that come to see me as disordered and usually marvel at their health, strength, and capabilities.
