My Approach to Helping
I am a combat veteran and have been a therapist for over 20 years. I attended Adelphi University for my master's. After graduating I worked at a local hospital for 12 years and had a thriving private practice specializing in at-risk adolescent therapy for 12 yrs. In 2012 I joined the US Army where I was privileged to be a Soldier and a therapist for six years. I continue to work with Soldiers and combat veterans specializing in the treatment of trauma.
I utilize evidence-based treatment specializing in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as well as others (CPT, CPT-i, PE, CBT) to work through life experiences that have shaped negative thought patterns in order to move towards a more positive thought process.
