My Approach to Helping

I believe that there is an alchemy to being human and that it is in our uniqueness and originality that we most flourish. As individuals, we are separate and distinct from every other being we encounter. It is also my belief that because of our individual uniqueness we each require an individually tailored approach to psychotherapy.

The philosophy of my practice lies in meeting each individual where they are at in their process of healing and transformation, while at the same time acknowledging their own innate wisdom and ability to heal. My intention is to help individuals cultivate courage and strength to journey through their difficulties and gain insight and wisdom that will continually aid them along their life's trajectory.

My primary approach is person-centered, humanistic, and Existential, but I draw from many different modalities, wisdom traditions, and philosophical systems depending on the individuals needs and values. I place central importance on the relationship between therapist and client as the essential element in the alchemy of deep personal change.
I work to help individuals discover and connect with their own authentic self, cultivate their uniqueness and remember their own healing capacity and inner gifts.

As an integrative psychotherapist, I value and believe in the interconnections between mind, body, soul, culture, and social systems. I utilize my gifts of empathic listening, deep intuition, and an interdisciplinary collaborative style coupled with a strong clinical acumen to help individuals achieve their highest psychological, emotion, & mental well-being.

More Info About My Practice

What is a Soul-Centered Approach to Wellness?
You have an inherent and unique energy, a "you-ness", if you will. We call that soul. Oftentimes our souls lie dormant. There's a small voice that tells us it's there, but often many barriers stand between us and activating our souls.

Those barriers can be trauma, pain, internal and external voices that tell us we simply can't, we're not enough... barriers can come from anywhere.

We see spirit as the activation of soul, as bringing your "you-ness" forward. In working together, our hope is that you find more than just your health.

Finding your health is one way to bring out who you truly are. When you have true health, when you have wellness, you are able to show up in the world in the way that you want. And we're here to help.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

Hello, I'm Aaron Pascoe, MA, LMHCA. I believe that all individuals have the innate power to heal, and be well. My approach to therapy is based on partnership and collaboration. I will walk with you, wherever the path may lead, standing beside you in the process of your own discovery.

To me, the role of a therapist is to stand beside a person who's contemplating going into a dark wood in their life, and not to find them a path, but to walk behind them in support and service of the path they choose. To hold a lantern and illuminate the shadows to reveal the wholeness, healing, and wellbeing within. I seek to be a guide to individuals on their own journey toward authentic whole person living.
