My Approach to Helping
I will meet you where you are at in your personal process: your needs guide the counseling session. My depth of experience and explorations underpin my work as a counselor. My goal is for you to feel heard and understood, which allows you to make positive lasting changes. Conditions treated with success include: anxiety, depression, obsessing, grief, panic attacks, life dissatisfaction, identify issues and relationship concerns. I also treat women and their families impacted by postpartum depression.
I draw from the disciplines of humanistic, cognitive behavioral, and family of origin to address your personal issues as they restrict your ability to enjoy your life. Besides conventional psychotherapy, I have additional training for interested clients in body-psychotherapy ( a form of mindfulness) which can be effective for deep-seated anxiety and depression.
