My Approach to Helping
I’ve enjoyed working as a psychologist for over 20 years and my clients teach me a great deal as they trust me with their therapeutic process. The vulnerability and confidence they share with me is a privilege and a gift, as well as a deep responsibility. I realize that making the decision to see a therapist is often a long and challenging one. It’s scary to ask for help and my goal is to help you feel as safe as possible, while working through the concerns that you need assistance with.
It’s so rare to have the chance to really be seen and heard. My goal is to give you that space to just be present, be honestly seen and to use my experience and knowledge to help guide you towards feeling better about yourself and others.
I view therapeutic work as a collaborative process. I'm not a quiet therapist who provides minimal input. I'm thoughtful and calm, but also irreverent, direct and conversational.
