My Approach to Helping
I first apply the HumanisticPerson-Centered approach to build a foundation of trust and rapport with the client. Then I utilize tools and techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Strengths-Based Therapy in order to return the client to hisher prior state of healthier functioning or improve upon hisher current quality of life.
I have experience working with clients with anxiety, bipolar disorder, chronic illness, cultural issues, depression, immigration, LGBTQ+, life transitions, stress, gerontologyolder adults.
