Let's face it. . . Life often presents with tough challenges. Whether it be divorce, grief and loss, work-related stress or trouble in relationships, these difficult times can feel like too much to handle alone. They may bring about anxiety, depression or unmanageable stress. In my work as a holistic therapist, I am able to help you connect to all the strength, hope and clarity you have to get relief.
I provide a warm and encouraging environment that includes guidance and a lot of helpful, practical tools. I combine traditional psychotherapy with holistic,mind-body methods for helping people of all ages. Play therapy is a very effective and powerful, experiential tool for assisting children. For couples, families and adults I have many techniques that assist clients in getting to a place of greater joy and peace in daily life.

More Info About My Practice
Many of my clients benefit from learning how to relax, how to feel at ease through relaxation therapies, meditation, aromatherapy. All of these methods are based in the research evidence-based practice of mindfulness which I have been practicing and teaching for over 20 years.
I believe in making therapy affordable. While I choose not to participate in managed health care, I do have generous options for reduced fees when clients have budget concerns.
I also believe it's very important for clients to find the right fit in a therapist. That's why I have begun offering free face-to-face 30 minute consultations so you can visit my office, meet me in person and briefly discuss what brings you to therapy.
I have a specialty in helping families through the process of divorce as peacefully as possible. As a founding member of the Cobb Divorce Network, I work with other professionals to assist parents and children navigate the stress and challenges of divorce.
I look forward to hearing from you soon!
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Psychotherapy can feel, look and be a very different experience depending on the therapist you choose to work with. The therapy experience I provide people is one that provides a space that is warm, soothing and inviting in order to help people experience a relaxed state. In a relaxed state of mind and body, my clients are better able to explore their thoughts and feelings and are more open to learning new ways of framing their perceptions and experiences in life.
My Role as a Therapist
My role as therapist is one that holds a space of non-judgment, acceptance and encouragement. I see my role as a facilitator and a guide at times, always honoring the inner wisdom that is within each person. I am sometimes a teacher, providing valuable information and skills that help people to discover new ways of understanding and experiencing what life presents them.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
It is a myth that therapy is only for people with mental illness. Therapy, with a therapist that is the right fit for you, is an opportunity to feel emotionally safe and supported while you explore all the thoughts and feelings about your experiences you may be having. Therapy can be a place that facilitates tremendous personal growth and can teach you life-changing skills to improve your relationships with others and with your own self.
