My Approach to Helping
I truly believe that healing is an ongoing process of discovering YOU, embracing YOU, and daring to re-introduce yourself to a world that is unfamiliar with the “new” you. Wherever you are in your journey of discovering your identity, it is valid and absolutely fluid, and I am happy to meet you exactly where you are. My therapeutic style centers around creating a safe and authentic relationship. I will ask you to explore your strengths, your past, your childhood experiences, and your inner guide to reach the goals that you would like to achieve.
You can expect honest conversations and sessions that emphasize self-determination to empower you to reach your desired self. I employ a range of effective treatment approaches, including Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Relational Therapy, tailoring these methods to best suit each client’s unique healing journey.
I am so glad you are searching for your healing. If you feel my approach would work for you, I would love to meet you. I provide both in-person and virtual sessions.

How Psychotherapy Can Help
Often times I find that the clients who seek therapy have felt stuck. Being stuck in thoughts, in patterns, in actions that dont align with how you see yourself. Stuck in routines or traditions that lead to disconnection from yourself or from others. Stuck in past traumas that you have not been able to shake. Psychotherapy provides you with an opportunity to have a space where all of the perceived expectations of you can be released. You are capable of beginning new or building upon the envisioned version of yourself that you would like to work towards. Each plan and person's goals are individualized and honored. We explore YOU within all of your relationships, environments, and systems. Then when ready, we do the work in creating goals that help heal the versions of you that are no longer serving you. Psychotherapy helps you gain new patterns, coping skills, and connections that will hopefully break the cycle of stuck that you came in with.
Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
The first step to healing within the therapeutic relationship is feeling confident that you can be your "comfortable self" during each session. It is my belief that forming a comfortable connection leads to an affirmed sense of values that align with your purposeful progress. Coming in and honoring all of your layers and emotions can only happen in a space that you feel safe in. This is where the strength of the alliance is deeply important. It is where vulnerability no longer has the weight of shame. Comfort, connection, and an alliance can take away the fear that shame thrives in. So whether you decide to pursue therapy with me or anyone else, do not be afraid to advocate for your comfort, and I encourage you to continue your search for the correct fit if you feel that lack of comfort is holding you back from your aspired growth.
