What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I love finding the strengths, resilience and (sometimes hidden) talents in my clients. I'm constantly amazed by the capacity of the human spirit to overcome painful life experiences. My clients inspire me with their courage, humor and determination to have a better life!
Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
You must feel safe, accepted and free to respond to feedback. My style is very calm and accepting. I will challenge you to take small steps toward your goals. I want you to tell me if you disagree with something I've said, or need to focus on a different issue. I encourage you to express your emotions in the therapy process. This is how we both learn about what you need in your interpersonal relationships.
