Billing and Insurance

I do not work with insurance companies

Fees: My fee is $150.00 for a 45-60 minute session. I also don't charge extra for an initial session. I don't accept insurance; however, I can provide an invoice for you to submit for "out of network" coverage. There is no guarantee that I will be recognized as a provider by your insurance company. I realize therapy is financial and emotional investment. If you interested in knowing the sliding scale fee, please email me.

I believe it is important to begin where you are at. Having the courage to start the therapy process is the first step to improving one's emotional health. That is why I understand and respect the need to earn your trust in order to build a therapeutic rapport. Your story matters to me. I want to understand you through your words and experiences. Although my approach primarily reflects cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral practices, it is important to note that my approach is not "cookie cutter" in nature. There is no script. Your story and background are really what drive what approach I use. Together, we will learn about how thoughts and feelings impact behavior. We will work in concert to learn about what works and does not work for you. The goal is for you to become more confident about functioning in a healthy manner, on a daily basis, in order to feel better about yourself as a whole person.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

My passion is helping people understand their stories and guiding them in their journeys. I became a therapist so that I can assist clients to work through difficult experiences from their past and/or present, in the hopes that they can enjoy a healthier future. It is rewarding when clients are able to view things differently and make positive changes in their lives. I am grateful to them for allowing me to share in their journeys and to be a positive influence in their lives.

My Therapy Focus

My initial therapy focus is to earn your trust because, oftentimes, that is the first barrier to overcome. I want you to feel comfortable enough to tell me about your thoughts, feelings, memories and experiences. I want to know your story. I believe in helping you identify, understand then learn how negative thoughts, feelings, beliefs misconceptions impact maladaptive behaviors. I also believe in helping to learn how to change thoughts and perceptions so that you can feel better about yourself and engage in more productive behaviors.
