My Approach to Helping
My approach to therapy is relationship-based. In establishing a satisfying working relationship with people, I accompany them in an exploration of their relationship with themselves, those closest to them, and the entire human family. I believe that a genuine connection and honest self-evaluation are the most essential elements in a therapeutic environment. In this context, I strive to provide an atmosphere of trust and support, and am guided by your agenda and goals. Together,we undertake to discover the attitudes, beliefs, or behavioral habits that are standing in the way of your natural desire to change, grow, and to reach goals. I draw from existential, psychodynamic, and humanistic theories and I strive to make the therapy match your needs.
More Info About My Practice
I run several groups, including, but not limited to: "Young adults in the Real World", Pregnant Women, Post-partum Women, and Self-esteem in Young Women. My rates for groups is $25-$30 per session. My individual, couples, and family rate is $80/session. I do not accept insurance at this time, but do offer a limited sliding-fee scale if necessary.
