My Approach to Helping
Being a person who experiences emotions more intensely than others can feel overwhelming. You may frequently feel frustrated with your coworkers or fearful of losing relationships with the people you love. Emotional overwhelm can lead to feeling anxious, depressed, angry, lonely, and insecure. Many people who experience emotions intensely also report dealing with physical pain such as headaches and nausea.
You may have previously reached out for support, but felt dismissed or misunderstood. If you’ve been repeatedly told “you’re difficult” or “too sensitive,” you’re not alone. Therapy can help you find balance, establish healthy boundaries in your relationships, and learn to lessen the heaviness of your emotions.
It may take a few weeks, months, or even years to build up the confidence to schedule that first therapy appointment. When you're ready to take the first step, I am happy to talk through any questions or concerns you may have.
